Privacy notice
In short: we publish only what you have authorised, we show the city and never the address, and removal is always one email away.

Who processes the data
RED Movement, based in Switzerland. Data controller under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, for members resident in the European Union, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Contact: privacy@redmov.ch.
What we collect
From applicants, through the membership form: full name, email, telephone (optional), website, city and country, discipline, the three answers about your work, any links to works, and the choices you make about consent. We also record the date of the application and a truncated IP address, as a safeguard against automated submissions.
From accepted members: the same data, plus the date of the most recent annual confirmation of activity.
We use no profiling cookies, we run no advertising, and we use no analytics that track visitors across different sites. The only cookie this site may write remembers the language you have chosen.
Why we process it
- To assess the application — legal basis: pre-contractual measures and consent.
- To manage membership — legal basis: performance of the membership relationship.
- To publish the member profile and the point on the map — legal basis: consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.
- To send the movement's news, only to those who asked for it — legal basis: consent.
What becomes public
Only for accepted members and only with their consent: name, discipline, city, country and website, together with the images of works they have provided us. We never publish email addresses, telephone numbers, studio or home addresses, or the answers given in the application.
On the map, the point corresponds to the centre of the city given, not to the actual position of a studio or home: the coordinate published is the public one for that locality. Anyone who prefers can choose country-level precision, or not appear on the map at all while remaining a member.
Members who joined before 2026
Members already published on the movement's previous site were published with their consent, which remains valid for the publication of name, discipline and website. Before adding their point to the map we inform each of them by email about the new publication at city level, with the option to object by simply replying. Anyone who does not wish to appear is not added.
Who we share data with
- Hostinger — hosting provider for the site and the email accounts (servers in the European Union).
No other recipient. Membership is free, so no payment provider is involved. We do not sell, transfer or exchange data with third parties.
For how long
- Applications not accepted: kept for 12 months, then deleted.
- Applications accepted: kept for the duration of the membership.
- Data of members: removed from the site and the map within 30 days of the end of membership.
Your rights
You may at any time ask to access your data, to have it corrected, deleted, or its processing restricted, to receive it in a readable format, and to withdraw any consent — including your presence on the map — without having to give a reason. Simply write to privacy@redmov.ch: we reply within 30 days, and removal from the map normally happens within a few working days.
If you believe the processing is not lawful you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in Switzerland or, if you live in the EU, the supervisory authority of your country.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. Application data is stored in files that cannot be reached from the web and is accessible solely to the council, through a password-protected area.
